~A Place for Good Vibes and Random Thoughts~

... otherwise known as THE BLOG, where we're publishing images from our photo sessions and anything that makes us smile:)

Poppy ♥️ the ever-changing Mini Australian Labradoodle

Poppy came to our studio with her family, David and Deborah and we all had so much fun!:) The session lasted a while, so she needed a break during which David told us some fun facts about her:

‘Sweet’ is the word most people instinctively use to describe her. She lives up to her breed, which are also known as Australian Service Dogs: she’s a newly-accredited Pets As Therapy dog and goes into a primary school once a week to be read to by children, building their confidence.

🐾 What is you waiting for?!? GO, GO, GO follow her on Instagram @poppythepuppyldn 🐾

Very far back in time (about 2 years ago) when Poppy came to this world somewhere in Lincolnshire, her fur was chocolate brown. Then she started growing and growing and growing and became the lovely honey colour she has now which also changes slightly from day to day, and no one can be certain when (or if) she will stop changing. If you think about it, it’s a good thing – she can have a make-over photoshoot every couple of months!:)

She never demands a walk (in fact usually needs encouragement when her lead is put on) and doesn’t understand the point of ball chasing - she’s far too sociable for that and would much rather be playing with other dogs. She lets them do the running around and ambushes them as they come past: she’s a superstar wrestler.

Poppy’s not a fan of swimming, though very tolerant of being washed.

Angelic during the day, in the evenings she barks like crazy at foxes (real or imaginary) and other ‘heard but not seen’ things outside.

She understands what ‘quiet’ means, just can’t always control her emotions:)

Roy, the Galgo Español with a Sense of Humour

Oh, ROOOYYYYY… this boy is special!:)

He is a Galgo Español (Spanish Greyhound) who was adopted from Andalucía in the South of Spain and moved to England when he was just 4 months old.

His interests include running really fast, sleeping on his pouffe and being naughty. Loves chasing squirrels, bird and anything that moves quicker than him:)

He came to our studio with his family and played some tricks on us which we’ll never forget!:) Once he figured out that the strobe is his arch enemy, he divided the studio into two zones – the land of perpetual sorrow where the evil flash rules and the acrobatic arena, also known as the lounge where he was showing his lovely personality. While switching between the two, he was throwing glimpses and smirks to show us his cheeky sense of humour.

Lucky, the Duck Tolling Retriever Who Hates Water

Lucky was led in our studio by his best friend, personal trainer and commander in chief Adam. We all had lots of fun, especially this guy who ate his whole weekend allowance in about 30 minutes. One bite at a time...:)

He is an extraordinary dog that can be best described in Adam’s own words:

“Lucky was born in June 2018. He is a Duck Tolling Retriever who is supposed to like water but is terrified of it. He likes chasing squirrels, eating carrots, and can do lots of tricks… he’s a very clever dog – he speaks English and French, he can sit, walk backwards, jump and do lots of things – as long as there is food involved.”

After the official part of the photo shoot was over, we rehearsed some magic tricks. And yes, miraculously Lucky had the most energy of us all!:)
